About Story Theatre

Story Theatre is happy to create and perform on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territories of the shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation and the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).

Story Theatre is a playful group of community members who enjoy presenting stories through acting, sound effects, props, and costumes! We travel the Sunshine Coast to visit different communities, delighting audiences with our 30-minute play. The plays are performed outdoors, with minimal sets and costumes, giving young and young-at-heart audiences a taste of live theatre’s magic.

Our 2026 play, written by local Lynn McDonald, is called “Tangled Fairytales”. It is about three tales that get mixed up and need to be untangled.  We will be inviting audience participation from adults and children.
