If you are unavailable at those times\, and we do recognise the time conflict with AsYou Like It performers\, don’t hesitate to contact Jennie)Thursday July 2\, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm;  Mission Point Park house.Saturday\, July 4\, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm: Heritage Playhouse\, Gibsons. \n\n\n\nAbout the play\n\n\n\nWith the average Canadian life expectancy being in the early eighties\, living to be 100years old can feel as far-fetched as visiting the moon. But for playwright Kathryn Shaw\,it’s not so hard to imagine—and thus became inspiration for her latest show.Super Seniors introduces us to the three women\, who live in a mature living residenceand explore their lives as centenarians. The play is hilarious insight into extreme old agewritten by Kathryn Shaw\, Vancouver playwright and former Theatre instructor atLangara College Studio 58. \n\n\n\nThis play was read at Heritage Playhouse as part of the “Off the Page” series\, and theenthusiastic response inspired Driftwood Players to mount a full MainStage production.Casting: Hildy\, Elizabeth and Mildred should ideally played by women 60years of age or older\, but younger actors are welcome to audition. The characters ofCameron\, Twyla\, Server and TV Reporter can be double cast. 5 actors are needed intotal. \n\n\n\nDriftwood Players is pleased to introduce as our Director\, Jennie Biltek\, who played thecharacter of Martha in our 2025 production of Waiting for the Parade. Jennie was alsoco-Producer of The Vagina Monologues as performed at Heritage Playhouse in 2020. \n\n\n\nThis production will start rehearsal in late August\, 2026\, to run for two consecutiveweekends\, November 12 to 22 at Heritage Playhouse. There will also likely be twoweekend performances scheduled in Pender Harbour in the weekend just before or justfollowing the Heritage Playhouse performances\, depending on availability of cast andcrew.
